City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #351 ~ Hygge

Hello Everyone! This week, at City Crafter, we're asking you to embrace hygge.
Hygge is a Danish term for creating a cozy atmosphere and enjoying the simple things in life with good people around you. Think of warm blankets, soft lighting, close friends and Danish pastries.
So our challenge is to create a project that captures the spirit of hygge, or takes inspiration from the photo.
Have fun!

Please meet....

Bailey Rosy

I’m a jewellery designer and shop owner living in beautiful Thessaloniki Greece , Im originally from the UK but after falling in love on holiday in Crete with my husband Teo 32 years ago we married and  moved here two years later and have been together ever since . Who says holiday romances don’t last ! I’ve been making cards since 2011 after searching for something totally un- related on the internet and came across the silhouette cutting machine, I fell in love instantly and bought the machine on the spot without having a clue what I would use it for.

Within a few months I had accumulated a massive hoard of stamps inks and paper and started my blog baileyrosy.com.  I have met so many amazing people as a result of this hobby which has now become a way of life for me as I now design the packaging and window displays for my jewellery shop .

Thank you for your beautiful card!
Please stop by Bailey Rosy to see more of her fabulous work!

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #349 ~ Old Stuff, New Look!

Hello crafters!
This week we are challenging you to take an old project and give it a new look!
It would be a project you made previously and not happy about it, add something, change something to give that old project a new look OR you could recreate an old project but add something to it and have a different look. Don't forget to show us both the old and new project so we know what changes you have made to give that old project a new look.

Come join in the fun!

~ Kirsty

Please meet.....

Jen aka Magic Flying Boots

Hi! My name is Jen, and I live in Nottingham UK with my lovely bloke Mark, and our little tabby cat Emily. I make cards and lampwork glass beads, and am currently learning to sew. My closest friend Linda introduced me to blogging and card challenges a few years ago. I have become a bit obsessed with challenges – it’s such a great way to get inspiration and try designs and colours that you wouldn’t normally use, and you see so many different techniques, clever ideas and really beautiful cards! Unfortunately, you also discover lots and lots of craft supplies you didn’t realise you absolutely needed... I wish my craft room was bigger!

Please stop by Jen's blog to see how she transform this beauty from an old project

City Crafter Challenge Blog Week #348 ~ S.W.A.L.K

Hello City Crafters!
This week I've called the challenge SWALK - or, Sealed With A Loving Kiss.
We'd like to see you use an envelope or letter.... this could be an actual letter or envelope (on a card or layout or even a bit of 'mail art'), or an image featuring them. I can't wait to see what you make!

~ Marina

Week 348 ~ S.W.A.L.K

Please meet.....

Jenny Martin

I've been stamping for about 20  years on and off, but card making became more of a passion about 5 years ago, when I started entering challenges and blogging, discovering the amazing online card making community.
I love to stamp and colour of use paints, inks and stencils to create art in the form of a greeting card.
I prefer to work on a small canvas and you can give cards to people and see the job it brings.
My favorite subjects are butterflies, birds and flowers.

Thank you Jenny.
Please stop by Jenny's blog and leave her a lot of love!
